County to offer Enterprise Zone small business grants

El Paso County Economic Development will launch its first community-based, grant-funded program on April 20 to give financial help to small businesses hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone (EZ). Small businesses within the Enterprise Zone (this includes all Downtown businesses) will have access to grants up to $7,500.
The Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone EZ Business Relief Fund is a way for the community to help locally owned small businesses — now facing layoffs and closures — to sustain operations and keep their workforce, through generous donations. People who donate $100 or more to the fund qualify for an EZ 25 percent state income tax credit.

Downtown Development Authority SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF

Small business truly is the heart and soul of our city center. Downtown Colorado Springs boasts the largest concentration of locally owned restaurants in Southern Colorado, unique retail shops, and status as a state-certified creative district.
